Our Story
A JOURNEY OF EMPOWERMENT
In 2022, my life changed in a way I never expected. My daughter, just three years old at the time, was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Initially, this news brought a mix of emotions—fear, uncertainty, and a deep desire to protect her from the challenges that lay ahead. I found myself questioning her future: Would she communicate effectively? Would she face misunderstanding from others? As a parent, it’s natural to want to shield your child from the unknown. We chose to keep her diagnosis private, hoping to avoid labels and assumptions. Instead, I dedicated myself to learning everything I could about autism—immersing myself in books, podcasts, and courses on supportive strategies. Through this journey, I came to understand that every individual has unique strengths, and with the right support, they can thrive.
My daughter is a remarkable little girl—funny, intelligent, and full of life. Her journey inspired me to create Assemble, a non profit organization that champions neurodiversity and promotes inclusive hiring practices in creative industries. Assemble is committed to empowering neurodivergent individuals by providing tailored training and support to help them successfully navigate the job market. Our mission is to connect neurodivergent talent with opportunities that celebrate their unique perspectives and skills.
